Can't Register my Controller

Hello,

I have a retrolink controller that looks like the SNES. When I go into sudo ./retropie_setup.sh the menu looks correct. I go to option 3 for setup then when i look at my list its not the same as all the videos ive watched. Option 317 says Install RetroArch joypad autoconfigs. I have tested the controller in the jstest and it works and shows correct. Why do I not have the Register fuction on line 317?
